Two-factor authentication (2FA) significantly increases the security of your MZ Account. Even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your account without also having the second factor — typically a time-sensitive code generated by an authenticator app or sent via SMS to your registered phone number.
Enabling 2FA on your MZ Account takes under two minutes. Navigate to Account Settings, select Security, and click Enable Two-Factor Authentication. You can choose between an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, or opt for SMS-based verification codes.
Accounts with two-factor authentication enabled are significantly less likely to be compromised by phishing or credential-stuffing attacks.

MZ Account also supports hardware security keys for users who require the highest level of protection. FIDO2-compatible keys provide phishing-resistant authentication and are ideal for professional or enterprise use.
Backup codes are generated when you set up 2FA. Store these codes in a safe place offline. They allow you to access your MZ Account if you lose your primary 2FA device.
